First-Time Clients

Q: What should I expect during my first visit?
Arrive 10 minutes early to complete intake forms. We'll discuss your health history and goals, then proceed with your customized massage.

Q: What should I wear?
For table massages: Undress to your comfort level - you'll be professionally draped. For Thai massage: Wear non-revealing workout clothing that allows full range of motion.

Q: What should I bring?
Just bring a water bottle! Please arrive well-hydrated and continue drinking water after your session.

Q: Will the massage hurt?
Therapeutic massage may involve some discomfort as we work on problem areas, but it should never be painful. Please communicate with me about pressure preferences.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

Services & Techniques

Q: What's the difference between Swedish and Deep Tissue massage?
Swedish uses gentler pressure for relaxation. "Deep tissue" (I prefer "therapeutic") uses targeted techniques to address specific pain and tension.

Q: How often should I get a massage?
This varies by individual needs. For general wellness: monthly. For specific issues: weekly initially, then gradually extending time between sessions.

Q: What is Thai massage like?

Thai massage feels like someone is doing yoga to you- there is lots of stretching and pressure point work. Both recipient and practitioner are fully clothed working on a floor mat.

Q: Will cupping leave marks?
Yes, cupping may leave light pink to dark purple circular marks lasting hours to weeks. These aren't painful and indicate stagnant blood being brought to the surface.

Health & Safety

Q: What health conditions should I mention?
Please inform us of any injuries, surgeries, medical conditions, or pregnancies. Prenatal massage requires a doctor's note.

Q: Is massage safe during pregnancy?
Yes, after the first trimester with doctor approval. I require a signed note from your physician.

Q: What if I'm sick?
Please stay home if you're feeling unwell. We'll reschedule without penalty for illness.
