My Journey

My pathway to massage therapy began with a basic anatomy course in high school. I wanted to go straight into massage therapy after graduating but was highly encouraged to pursue a 4 year college degree by my parents. After completing a BS in history and travel and tourism and then using that knowledge to travel the world for the next 6 months, I returned home to Michigan with this nagging need to pursue and learn massage therapy.

I discovered my passion for this beautiful blend of science and intuition, developing a strong sense in this very physical and hands-on art form. I love being a massage therapist because at my core I’m a nurturer and it’s a wonderful tool to interact with and develop connections with people on a very brief and personal level while making someone feel better physically, and  sometimes emotionally, and mentally.

After completing my training at the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy in 2009, I've dedicated myself to helping people find relief from pain and stress.

My Approach to Healing

I believe that a massage therapy session can be more than just relaxation - it's an essential part of maintaining overall health and wellness. Sessions with me feel like a “therapeutic flow,” in that I utilize multiple modalities to address not just symptoms, but the underlying causes of tension and discomfort in a way that is very relaxing to the recipient.

In our sessions together, you can expect:

• An in person consultation to communicate your specific needs

• A peaceful, professional environment designed for healing

• Personalized treatment that evolves with your wellness journey

• Education about self-care techniques you can use at home

When I'm not in the Treatment Room

Outside of my practice, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, yoga, playing board games, and travelling. In addition, I am most passionate about the winter sport of curling! I believe in practicing what I preach when it comes to self-care and maintaining balance.

I'm proud to be part of the Boulder County wellness community and love helping my neighbors live healthier, more comfortable lives.
